Caitlin's family immigrated to Mars when she was 10, her father one step ahead of the British investigators looking into his IRA connections. On Mars, Michael Galloway found a new cause in the Martian independence movement. He joined the rebels, and was eventually caught and sent to prison for his terrorist activities.
Caitlin would have her own chance to fight for Martian independence during the revolution. Her husband, Tom, was murdered by the Peacekeepers for trying to expose the Waycross Massacre. Caitlin carried on his work, bringing proof of the massacre to Governor Caruso, and later joined the rebels as a field medic. She still works for the Fire & Rescue service, and is a reservist in the Volunteers militia.
