Caitlin Farland

Originally from Mars (a fact she is most proud of) Caitlin first arrived on B5 in April 2259. A dedicated doctor, Cait specializes in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. She puts her patients' welfare above all else, to the point of being nosy and "interfering" in their lives. She took over operations of Medlab One as acting Chief of Staff during Dr Franklin's long absence, but is now second-in-command of Medlab operations. Cait spends a great deal of time Down-Below, making "house calls" to the Lurkers and operating the free clinic established by Dr. Franklin.

Caitlin is known as an outspoken supporter of Martian independence, and many have speculated that she might have ties to the radical Free Mars independence movement.

Caitlin is single - her engagement to Earthforce Ensign Nathan McKenna ended tragically when he was killed on Mars in October 2260. She has one daughter, Sheiya Kay Tucker, a teenage telepath who was adopted in 2259.
